What is a Twitch chat token?
Twitch chat bots log in to chat with a username and an OAuth token that starts with oauth:. NOALBS uses one to read your chat commands (like !switch and !bitrate) and to post messages when it changes scene.
This page uses Twitch's own sign-in. You approve the access on twitch.tv, and Twitch sends the token back to this page in the part of the address that browsers never send to a server. The page removes it from the address bar straight away, so it doesn't sit in your history.
Using it with NOALBS
- Sign in above with the account NOALBS should chat as. Your own channel works; a separate bot account keeps things tidy.
- Copy the For NOALBS lines into the
.envfile next to yourconfig.json. - Restart NOALBS. It should join your chat and answer
!bitrate.

Revoking a token
Use Revoke this token above while the page is still open, or go to Twitch Settings, Connections and disconnect it there. Anything using the token stops working straight away.
FAQ
Twitch token questions
Does IRLhosting see or keep my token?
No. Twitch sends the token straight to this page in your browser, and nothing is sent to IRLhosting. The page only talks to Twitch, to check the token and to revoke it if you ask.
Do I need the oauth: prefix?
NOALBS and most IRC-style chat bots expect it, so copy it with oauth: unless your tool's instructions say otherwise. There's a button for each.
How long does the token last?
Until it expires or is revoked. After you sign in, the page asks Twitch and shows how many days are left. If a bot stops answering in chat, get a new token.
Which account should I sign in with?
The one the bot should talk as. Your own channel works, but a separate bot account means its messages don't come from you and you can mod it.
